Bath lock Josh McNally is to leave the club at the end of the 2023-24 season after five years at The Recreation Ground.

The 33-year-old has played 84 times for the club since signing from London Irish in 2019, but has been limited to eight appearances this season.

McNally, who previously served in the RAF, missed four months of last season due to a shoulder injury and this campaign has been out since January with a neck injury.

McNally said it was "time to say goodbye".

"It’s been full of highs and lows, but I’ve learnt so much and I'll leave this club a better person," he added.

Bath head of rugby Johann van Graan said: “Josh added so much to Bath Rugby on and off the field. He is a very good rugby player, a consistent and dependable leader but most importantly, a great team man."
