Big things are expected of Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault in this South West Football League season and the early returns suggest they are capable of living up to the hype, with Saturday’s home opener at Brunswick Oval seeing them produce a 74-point win over Collie to move to the top the ladder.

Both of their victories have come over teams who failed to feature in the finals last year but the Lions followed their 104-point dispatching of local rivals Harvey last Saturday with a 15.9 (99) to 3.7 (25) lashing of the Eagles to continue their unbeaten start to the year.
