They might be harder to get than an actual PS5

Paul George and Nike are back with the latest PlayStation version of the NBA star’s signature PG sneakers, and this time around they’re inspired by the PlayStation 5. The collaboration was announced on the PlayStation Blog with a post written by Paul George himself.

The new design combines the look of Sony’s latest console with the style of George, who currently plays for the LA Clippers, and Nike’s existing PG 5 sneaker. The shoe also featured creative input of Yujin Morisawa, the artist behind the PS5’s console design.

The result of all this collaboration is a white sneaker with black tongue and lining that evoke the PS5 console’s unique design. The PG 5 PlayStation 5 colorway also includes blue accents — such as the Paul George and PlayStation logos on the tongues — and stitching, which match the console’s start-up lights. In all, it’s a design that could be recognized as inspired by the PlayStation 5, even if it didn’t include the small PS5 logo on the side.

The new PG 5 x PlayStation 5 collaboration isn’t the first time that Nike and George have worked with Sony on sneakers. The brands also collaborated for specially themed versions of George’s PG 2 and PG 2.5 sneakers as well.

The PG 5 PlayStation 5 colorway will be released in select regions on May 14 and will likely use Nike’s SNKRS app ... so good luck getting them.
