First Vivo X100 Ultra Image Surfaces, Launch Confirmed for May with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Sony LYT-900 Sensor and More

The Vivo X100 series phones are among the best when you are looking for flagship devices with flagship cameras. However, if you think you need something even more powerful, then the Vivo X100 Ultra might be right up your alley. The company has finally confirmed when the phone will launch and even shared an image of its impressive camera island on the back.

The Vivo X100 Ultra looks like the one-and-done flagship phone you are going to need

The Vivo X100 Ultra's camera island looks massive and has all the usual branding you would expect from the company. You see the Zeiss logo on the back and also the T*, which refers to a coating that Zeiss uses to reduce glare. The phone will emphasize heavily on the camera, and that is obvious. There is also a periscope camera shown in the image.

The company also confirmed the launch date of the Vivo X100 Ultra and it appears that you are not going to have to wait a long time for the phone to hit the market. Other than the monstrous flagship, the Vivo X100 Ultra will be a powerhouse of a smartphone in terms of the specs. You are looking at Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Sony LYT-900 sensor, a 200-megapixel periscope camera, as well as an ultra-wide camera along with another sensor that we don't know much about at the moment.

You can also expect a large battery and super-fast charging speed. After all, it would not be a Vivo flagship without all of these combined. Now, the information was shared by Jia Jingdong, Vivo's General Manager and head of Brand of Product Strategy; the phone is launching next month and will also come with the company's BlueImage branding, which the company is going to be using going forward. Under this branding, you can expect a number of things like the company's own imaging chips, as well as camera features that will be software-oriented. Needless to say, if you have been looking for something that is really powerful in all aspects, then this phone is the way to go.

We cannot confirm at the moment whether or not the Vivo X100 Ultra will make it to the international market. Even though the dust has settled, we are still not sure if that is going to happen. However, if it does, we will be the first to let you know.
