Four pizza flavours sold at Coles urgently recalled

Four flavours of a ready-to-cook pizza have been urgently recalled from Coles stores nationwide due to a labelling issue.

Food Standards Australia has called for four flavours of Genobile Saba Australia pizzas to be taken off shelves immediately.

The flavours are their Premium Salami Pizza, Premium Margherita Pizza, Premium Garlic Pizza and Premium Pomodoro Pizza.

It only relates to the batch with the use by date of 11 October 2023.

The correct use by date is actually for the 11 October 2022 and the product should not be eaten after this date as it may cause illness.

While the product is currently safe to eat customers are being warned to either consume it before its expired or alternatively they can return the product to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.

“The recall is due to non compliant labelling (incorrect USE BY date). Printed USE BY is 11/10/23. Correct USE BY is 11/10/22,” the FTA said.

“The food may cause illness if consumed after 11/10/22.“While the product is currently safe to eat, customers should not consume these products beyond 11/10/22. Customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.”

Premium Salami Pizza

Premium Margherita Pizza

Premium Garlic Pizza

Premium Pomodoro Pizza
