Two people have died when their cars collided in Lower Chittering, north of Perth, in a tragic start to the Easter long weekend on WA roads.
The white Toyota Camry sedan and silver Jeep Cherokee station wagon crashed on Muchea East Rd, near Polinelli Rd, about 5.10am on Thursday.

The drivers of both cars — a 47-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man — suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
No other people were involved in the crash.
The force of the impact was so severe, debris was scattered across the road.
The road has been blocked to motorists while investigators piece together what went wrong.
