Are you a huge Potterhead and often fantasises about the wizarding world of Harry Potter? Well, if yes, then you’re in luck as Warner Bros Entertainment and Neon Corporations announced that “Harry Potter: Visions of Magic”– a magical immersive art experience is heading to Resorts World Sentosa for its first Asia premiere!
The Harry Potter themed exhibition made its official debut in late 2023 in Germany and this time for its first Asia launch, the magic will first roam the cities of Singapore somewhere in the last quarter of 2024.
Well this isn’t the first time the Golden Snitch has found its way to the soils of Singapore. In fact, “Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience” is a huge success where Potterheads get the chance to meet the humble Hippogriff or run from those gloomy Dementors, and keep out for those Nifflers, they love shiny things!
The entirety of the Forbidden Forest exhibition had interactive features–allowing guests to answer quizzes and access the official themed filters.
For the upcoming Harry Potter: Visions of Magic launch, it is claimed to include an all-new experience, far more immersive than the previous one to capture the magical feeling as portrayed in the films. According to Peter Van Roden, Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Ent., this combination of interactive art experience along with the rich fictional world of J.K Rowling.
The organisers also added how an extra 10,000 square feet are added, creating more space for Muggleheads to practise their wizardry. As a result, it is said to be the biggest Harry Potter exhibition yet! Potterheads can expect this to be nothing short of magical.
The exhibition includes a series of familiar rooms as seen on television like the Room of Requirement where Harry secretly tutored his classmates on black magic or Newt’s extensive Menagerie, accompanied with surreal soundscapes and vivid lights–made perfect for muggles to embrace their wizard self! You’re A Wizard, Child! Remember that!
Realistic, life-size replicas are also added as part of the exhibition. Peter Van Roden added, “Not only are we excited to be bringing the world tour to our fans in Singapore but to be expanding the experience with never-before-seen environments.” It’s likely a hint that there are more exciting things that are yet to be revealed! Oh, they surely are stirring something in their cauldrons.
The launch date has not been confirmed yet but feel free to join the waiting list especially if you missed the previous Harry Potter-themed exhibition. So what are you waiting for? Hold the Portkey and let us enter the Potterverse!
