Mass. reports 56,489 new COVID-19 cases over 4 days, 47 new deaths

The state also reported 3,192 hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Here's the data reported Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022.

Total confirmed cases: 1,375,183

Newly reported deaths: 47

Total confirmed deaths: 20,497

Newly reported tests: 365,681

Total tests: 37,922,287

Percent positivity (seven-day average): 17.44%

Hospitalized patients: 3,192

Hospitalized patients who are fully vaccinated: 1,558

ICU patients: 466

Intubated patients: 290

Due to a “network connectivity” issue affecting laboratory results on Thursday, Jan. 13, some data from the Friday, Jan. 14 report was also included in today’s numbers.
