It’s back, baby. Crawfish bread will be at Jazz Fest this year, after bowing out in 2023.

Crawfish bread creator John Ed Laborde said, “We missed it too much.”

The crawfish-studded, melty baked delight had been part of the Jazz Fest menu since 1987, but last year it looked like the end of the line with a litany of logistical problems and higher costs mounting.

But things have improved for Laborde’s Marksville-based company and “just too many people were asking us to come back,” he said.
