Man, puppy rescued from SA mineshaft at Hughes Engine House after four-hour operation

A man who got stuck in a mine shaft while trying to save a puppy has been safely rescued after a four-hour operation between three emergency services.

Rescue services were called to the historic mine shaft Hughes Engine House on South Australia’s York Peninsula just before 4pm on Sunday.
