Real Madrid added yet another piece of silverware to their trophy cabinet as they won the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday but Eden Hazard did not appear overjoyed at the victory.

Luka Modric and Karim Benzema scored either half as Real Madrid sunk holders Atletico Bilbao to lift the Spanish Super Cup, despite a late Eder Militao red card.

Los Blancos celebrated Carlo Ancelotti's first trophy since his return but Hazard was not in a celebratory mood.

The Belgium international was spotted looking miserable throughout the celebrations, while the rest of his team-mates looked delighted with the victory.

Photos emerged which show the winger standing at the back of the team photos looking glum, if not bored.

Football fans were quick to spot the Belgian's expression, claiming that winning medals was not putting an end to Hazard's misery at the Bernabeu.

On football account tweeted: '"Winning medals, not losing the gloom" An exclusive on Eden Hazard.'

'Everyone smiling, except Hazard,' another wrote alongside a broken heart emoji.

Hazard's struggles at Madrid have been well-documented since his mega-money move from Chelsea in May 2019.

The 31-year-old has failed to score in his 16 appearances this season and boss Ancelotti has made it clear the Belgian has fallen down the pecking order.

Hazard had not played a single minute of Madrid's Super Cup campaign and clearly believed he did not deserve to celebrate.

He is now reportedly looking to put an end to his misery in the Spanish capital and has asked to leave Real Madrid, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

And after the despondent figure he cut on Sunday night, fans are urging Madrid to set him free.
