Bridgerton is busy filming its third season, but sad news for Daphne stans: Phoebe Dynevor is not returning—at least not for this upcoming season—which she confirmed herself during a conversation with ScreenRant at the Sundance Film Festival.

“Sadly not in season 3. Potentially in the future,” Phoebe said while on the red carpet, adding, “But season 3, I’m just excited to watch as a viewer.”

While this is a certainly a bummer, Phoebe’s absence isn’t that surprising considering season 3 focuses on Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s burgeoning love story. Although, the show did bring Daphne back a few times last season, so presumably they could have done the same thing again this time around. But hey! Maybe schedules just didn’t line up.

The good news is that last season’s It Couple Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton will be returning, which Simone Ashley herself confirmed.

“In season 2, there was a lot of push and pull between Kate and Anthony, there were complications with the family, and then they find each other toward the end,” she told Deadline. “I think everything is just starting. I’d like to see Kate just let go a bit more and play more in season 3 and kind of swim in that circle of love together. I think they both deserve it.”

So, when is the next season dropping on Netflix? Unclear, but production began last summer, so hopefully sometime soon!
