Actress Annie Wersching, whose credits include Julia Brasher on Bosch and FBI special agent Renee Walker on the final seasons of 24, has died after a battle with cancer. She was 45.

The actress was diagnosed with an unspecified cancer in 2020, though she did not publicly announce her illness, and continued to work through her diagnosis. Among her final roles over the past two years are recurring appearances in the ABC police drama The Rookie and as the Borg Queen in Star Trek: Picard.

Her other credits include starring as Leslie Dean in the Hulu show Marvel’s Runaways across three seasons, plus a recurring role on NBC’s Timeless. Wersching also provided the voice of Tess in the video game version of The Last of Us; her character is played by Anna Tory in the HBO series based on the game.

Wersching’s husband, actor Stephen Full, announced her passing in a statement on Sunday, Jan. 29, per Deadline. He wrote,  “There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.”

He continued, “As I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. ‘I love you little family…'”

Wersching is survived by Full and their three sons.
