Marco Rubio Warns That Iran Is ‘Winning the War Inside of America’ While Slamming Protests ‘Cheering’ Attack on Israel
Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) warned that Iran is “winning the war inside of America” while slamming protesters who expressed support for its attack on Israel last week on Fox News Thursday morning.
Host Dana Perino kicked off the conversation by asking Rubio to opine on “what’s happening in Israel” and in the United States as “anti-Semitism spreads.”
Rubio addressed the first subject by predicting that Israel would “respond at a time and manner of their choosing” and arguing that Iran is the the cause of much of the conflict in the Middle East, calling it “the source of all the violence and instability.”
Then he moved onto the second.
“The primary source of violence and instability in the Middle East is not the Israeli-Palestinian question, it is the Iranian involvement. And I think that bleeds over here into the United States,” submitted Rubio. “Imagine if you’re sitting in Tehran today and you’re watching those images of those radicals in Columbia or blocking streets in San Francisco, and you begin to think to yourself, we’re not only winning- ‘We’re winning the war inside of America,’ as a growing number of Americans are aligning themselves and actually cheering Iranian attacks on the Jewish state.”
“It’s deeply disturbing. And how much longer are we going to tolerate this craziness in our own country?” he asked.
“It’s exploded here at home and has exploded in an election year. The far left is pushing a lot of that and that was proven by what happened just a few days ago,” agreed Fox’s Bill Hemmer. “And you wonder how that plays in an election year. And we’re not even into the summer or fall months. I mean, this this could get bigger and bigger.”
The Anti-Defamation League has reported on a number of celebrations of the Iranian attack by the far-left, including at a conference in Chicago where attendees chanted “Hands off Iran!”
