Tuchel 'reluctant to bring Kurzawa to Chelsea'

The Blues are looking to strengthen this position in the current transfer window after Ben Chilwell was ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury last month.

The Catalan giants' well-documented financial woes have left them limited in the transfer window.

With reported debts of £1.15billion in August, Barca are unlikely to be able to welcome any new arrivals to the Nou Camp and are under pressure to reduce their wage bill if Xavi wants to change his squad.

But the LaLiga side have shortlisted Juventus's Alex Sandro, Borussia Dortmund's Raphael Guerreiro, Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico, Manchester United's Alex Telles and Villareal's Alfonso Pedraza as potential loanees to strengthen the squad until the summer.

Brentford are reportedly in talks with Christian Eriksen over a stunning return to football, with the Premier League newcomers offering the Dane a six-month contract, half a year on from his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020.
