Kylie Jenner is the latest celeb to hop onboard the nostalgic crochet fashion trend

Crochet fashion trend came hot on the heels of the “cottagecore” trend last year, and the sentimental style statement is still in full swing. 

In an era where we all seem to be craving the comfort of our trusty childhood favourites right now, the tangible taste of nostalgia is staying put in wardrobes worldwide - and Kylie Jenner certainly made a fabulous case for the world of crochet. 

The reality star and make-up mogul stepped out for the Balmain runway show during Paris Fashion Week in a low-cut white crochet minidress with dropped shoulders. Is it just us, or does the dress look uncomfortable and cosy at the same time?! Nonetheless, she looked incredible in the ensemble and shows us that we should take more risks with crochet fashion.

As is often the case with these bygone trends, Bella Hadid was one of the first on board the crochet hype last year. Forever a champion of a throwback aesthetic with a particular penchant for all things 90s, the modern-day supermodel headed for an afternoon at the beach decked out in a red hat by emerging American crochet label, Memorial Day.

No doubt resonating with Gen Z and millennial customers right now for similarly sentimental reasons to the rise of cottagecore, you could also credit its renewed popularity to the undeniable resurgence of classic 60s and 70s trends.
