GREENSBORO — A Tennessee man has died from injuries sustained in a Sunday crash at Howerton Road and N.C. 61 in Guilford County, according to the State Highway Patrol.
Randel Dan Clark , 79, of Bluff City, Tenn., was traveling west on Howerton in a 2018 Chevrolet sedan, and had initially stopped at the intersection of Howerton and N.C. 61.
But around 11:15 a.m., Clark pulled out into the intersection and collided with a 2009 Chevrolet headed north on N.C. 61.
The driver of that vehicle, a 34-year-old Gibsonville man who was not named by authorities, suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital.
Clark and his front seat passenger, a 76-year-old Tennessee woman, suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital.
Troopers learned Monday that Clark had died from his injuries.

The health status of Clark's passenger and the passenger's name were not immediately available.
Troopers have not cited a cause for the accident.
