The Champions League final is edging ever-closer, with just two games remaining in the 2020-21 campaign. 

Manchester City booked a place in the final for the first time in their history with an emphatic victory over Mauricio Pochettino's Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night. 

After overturning a 1-0 deficit to secure a highly impressive 2-1 away win in Paris last week, Pep Guardiola's side finished the job in style, with a Riyad Mahrez double ensuring a 2-0 victory on the night and a 4-1 aggregate win.  

Chelsea have the opportunity to make it an all-English final as they take on European veterans Real Madrid on Wednesday night. 

The Blues carry the advantage from the first leg, having sealed a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Madrid last week, but 13-time winners Madrid can never be ruled out.

When is the Champions League final?

The final of the 2020-21 Champions League will be played on Saturday, May 29. 

The official start-time is yet to be confirmed, though it is likely to be 8pm BST, as has been the case with all four of the semi-finals.   

Where is the final being played? 

The Champions League final is scheduled to take place at Attaturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. 

The 76,761-capacity stadium was host to the historic final between Liverpool and AC Milan in 2005, where the Premier League side overturned a 3-0 half-time deficit to lift the trophy. 

It had originally been scheduled to hold the final last year, but it was moved to Lisbon's Estadio da Luz because of the restrictions imposed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.  

How to watch the final

As has been the case throughout the tournament in its entirety, the match will be broadcast live on BT Sport.

Subscribers will be able to watch the game on both the BT website and app. In previous campaigns, BT have also streamed the final on their YouTube channel, though this is yet to be confirmed this year.

Will supporters be allowed to attend?

It will be down for Turkish officials to decide how many tickets are available for sale, with UEFA placing no restrictions on the number. 

UEFA have revealed that further information on the ticket sales - including application deadlines, ticket prices and their availability - will be communicated early in May. 

However, travel restrictions are certainly going to play their part. 

The Ataturk Olympic Stadium, home of Fatih Karagumruk, has yet to host any fans this season, with the Turkish Super Lig campaign having been played entirely behind closed doors. 

Yet, if Chelsea join City in the final, both sets of fans should be able to make it to Turkey, with the UK Government planning to end their ban on non-essential travel on May 17. 

Assuming that goes ahead as planned, a traffic-light system will then be introduced, whereby countries rated "green" would require a negative coronavirus test both when leaving and returning to the UK. 

Meanwhile, "amber" and "red" countries - of which Turkey could well be one - would require a quarantine upon return.    

Who is the favourite to win? 

Manchester City defeated PSG to reach the Champions League final for the first time ever

After Manchester City dominated to a 4-1 aggregate win over Paris Saint-Germain, it comes as no surprise that they are the overwhelming favourites to claim a first-ever Champions League trophy.  

The already-qualified side are favoured at 2/5 to lift the prestigious cup. 

Meanwhile, Chelsea are the second-favourites to prevail at 7/2, while serial winners Madrid are down at 11/2 to claim a 14th Champions League title, the fourth under Zinedine Zidane.
