Tasmanian Senator Tammy Tyrrell has sensationally resigned from the Jacqui Lambie Network, saying the party leader is 'not happy' with her performance.
The 53-year-old says she'll continue to represent the Tasmanian people in the federal parliament as an independent member.
Senator Tyrell shared a video on X in which she cryptically suggested she needed to leave to allow the Jacqui Lambie Network 'to shine'.
‘Jacqui has indicated that she’s not happy with the way that I’ve been representing the Jacqui Lambert Network so I’ve made the tough decision to step aside and let the Network shine in its own right and me to shine in my own right,' Senator Tyrell said.
‘There’s no hard feelings between Jacqui and I,’ she insisted.

Lambie is now the only senator left in the Jacqui Lambie Network.
Daily Mail Australia approached her office for comment.
It is a serious blow to Lambie's growing political influence given she found herself in the role of kingmaker following last weekend's Tasmanian state elections.
In a separate statement released on Thursday, Senator Tyrell said it was not a decision she had 'taken lightly'.
'It’s become clear to me that I no longer have the confidence of the Jacqui Lambie Network to be able to represent it in the Senate,' she said.
'While Jacqui has not kicked me out of the Network, she has suggested that I go it alone.'

Senator Tyrrell said it was a tough decision but she did not want to damage Senator Lambie and the party.
'With that in mind, the best thing I can do is to step aside to allow the Network to shine,' she said.
'I don't want to hold them back. I want to see Jacqui and the JLN continue to succeed.
'I believe this is the best thing for Jacqui, the Network, myself, but most importantly, the people of Tasmania right now.'
Senator Tyrrell was following in her former bosses footsteps, given Lambie quit the Palmer United Party one year into her first term in the Senate to form her own party in 2015.
Ms Tyrrell worked for Lambie as a staffer for seven years before deciding to run for the Senate in 2022 where she became the party whip.

A profile still listed on the Jacqui Lambie Network website reveals the pair knew each other growing up in the small town of Ulvie on the northern coast of Tasmania.
'She was an Ulvie girl, I was an Ulvie girl. But I hadn’t seen her for years. Certainly not since she’d broken into the political scene,' the profile states.
'I didn’t meet Jacqui again until my very first day. I walked through the door and saw her, and said, "honey I’m home!".'
The profile mentioned that the pair had had some 'highs and lows'.
'But the whole time we worked as hard as we could to make a difference to the lives of people that politicians had forgotten about,' it stated.
The profile was scrubbed just hours after Senator Tyrrell announced she was leaving the network.
Senator Tyrrell used her first speech in the Senate to praise her former boss and colleague.
'I didn’t get here (to the Senate) because of Jacqui,' she said in that speech.
'We got here together. And I love her to bits, because we are a team.'
